We wake up each day with the potential to change our lives. Change one life. Change the world. Our intrinsic values we have been so generously gifted with allow us unparalleled abilities to author a present (and a future) of giving, loving, forgiving, sharing, caring, creating, believing. Such standard of excellence is innate in us, each one of us, regardless of experiences and privileges. When they say that the human brain has such potential that will defy boundaries when used right, we believe the heart to be the same. All that is required of us is to make a choice, make that one decision. Take one step and make it count.

We at Life Cares believe that one simple step can go a long way. A simple act of kindness can touch a life. A single step of faith can move mountains. One kind word spoken can heal a hurting soul. One gesture of love can bring hope.

The lens that we view the world with is the lens of love. The language we speak is the language of love. Irrespective of our past or our present, irrespective of our position or possession, irrespective of our circumstance, there is always room for love. Undoubtedly, infinite is the need for love and so are the opportunities to express it. Infinite possibilities, powerful potential. This is how Life Cares came about.

Often times, we go about our busy ways and barely pay attention. Whether it's our elderly neighbor longing for a chat or the person who cuts us in traffic who is probably rushing to pick his kids up from school. Whether it's our close friend who lost her job or our wealthy boss who may be going through a painful divorce. Whether it's that single mom who is working double jobs to make ends meet or that local philanthropist who may have been diagnosed with a life threatening disease. Whether it's our building's security guard who is saving every penny to fund his mom's hospital bills or that aloof acquaintance who may be mourning the loss of a loved one. The truth is, no matter how cleverly disguised, all of us go through life circumstances that could benefit from a little act of love. That is what Life Cares is all about.

 

Life Cares is our attempt to cultivate a more caring society through simple acts of love and kindness through the shared  prerogatives of our loving community. Every action has the potential to be that trigger creating an avalanche of love and kindness flowing from one person to the other, one community to the next. 

Love, indeed, is a universal language that carries a formidable potential to push boundaries, break borders, revolutionize actions, instigate breakthroughs, make a difference, impact a nation, change lives.
